Lillis Lab

Our lab is focused on uncovering the basic mechanisms of post-traumatic epileptogenesis. We develop and use advanced optical tools to image and manipulate neuronal activity in models of epilepsy ranging in scale from mouse organotypic slice cultures to in vivo studies of post-traumatic epilepsy in pigs. The Lillis Lab is part of the Pediatric Epilepsy Research Group, headed by Kevin Staley, in the Neurology Department at Mass General Hospital.
